The Coming Late Student And How To Solve It

Late student. It’s like a common thing right? Well it can’t be help. Most of Indonesia student has ever come late. It is not just the students but all people often come late. For us, indonesian, the coming late student is a normal thing and may be some think that is our culture. But, do you ever think that the coming late student is a bad thing? In the Europan the coming late student ratio is low. So why do we can’t? We must be diligent.

There is some reason to come late. For the example, the weather factor. When th day is raining, our activities will go slower than usual. Willy-nilly, we will be late. The other reason is we oversleep. So our schedule will be messy. And that may cause us to come late. There are alot of reason, the truth or a lie, that can we make. But still, sometime it can’t be forgiven.

There is some ways to get rid of coming late ‘habbit’. First thing, a warning from the school. The students are suggested to come earlier befor the first class  begin. They are suggested to not stay up all night and wake up earlier. But for student, this is just a normal warning, or maybe just a small warning.

            The second thing, the school give the coming late students to the BK teacher. The students are usually scared to come to BK. They think, a student that come to BK has a big problem. This method is more reliable than the first method.The third thing, the “guru piket” have to stand at the gate to check who is coming late. So the student can’t escape from that.

            Some school give some point to the coming late student. If the point reach the maximum, the student will be called. And the school will send a mail to their parents. The other important step is the student who come late has to pay fee. The money from the fee usually are used for fix the school facilities.

            But i think, the most important thing to solve the coming late students is the teachers. The teacher must check the present list first. The teacher has to give a plus point for those who don’t come late. That way, we, as student, will try as hard as we can to go to school earlier.

            In the other case, Naja L Umar, as teacher, has an unique trick to solve the promblem. He doesn’t  punish the coming late students. But instead, he held a quiz every time he come to the class in the first 10 minute. The coming late student surely will never participate this quiz. And sure thing the quiz  is counted to the students’ score. The student won’t come late again because of they want to participate the quiz.

            Well. like i said  before, the coming late student is not a good thing. We must change our mindset about it. We can be a diligent person if we want. So, come on, guys! We must be a diligent person. Don’t lose to the overseas country out there. If they can do it, why do we can’t, huh? Stop being a coming late student and be a diligent student from now on.
